It is amazing all of the changes that take place within the first year of a babies life! To watch a child go from a tiny little person that primarily eats and sleeps to a child that is running around and laughing is pretty spectacular. That is why we LOVE the Watch Me Grow sessions at the studio. Over the course of year we get to see a child progress through the major milestones of sitting, standing holding on, to then being able to walk on their own as well as be able to see their little personalities emerge. Parents are always a little shocked when they come in following the one year session by how fast that first year has gone by and how much their child has changed as they pick out the images for their panel. It is always a sweet sweet time to look back and remember those months that have become such a blur.

Here is Jillian, one of our kiddos that recently graduated from the Watch Me Grow program. What a fun girl, so full of life! Enjoy a glimpse into some of the milestones that occurred during her first year.

Here are some portraits from Jennifer’s recent Senior session. Isn’t she beautiful?! She was great to work with, so easy going and yet had a casual elegance to her. Here are a couple of favorites from our time with her.

The Ford family came to us several months back after winning a gift certificate at an auction that we donated some portraits for and we’re so glad they did. Look at this precious family! Four beautiful girls between the ages of 11 months and six years.  Without a doubt they must keep mom and dad busy at home! We had so much fun with them at Cheekwood, even despite the cold and super windy weather. Everyone was such troopers and we ended up having a great day. Thanks for letting us spend some time with your adorable family!

How adorable are they?! We just finished doing Connor’s 12 month Watch Me Grow session, my how the time flies by, it seems like only yesterday that he was born! He’s one little bundle of energy so we had a good time with him and got a lot of fun portraits. We also recently got to photograph Connor with big sister Sydney. She’s 4 going on 14! This is the portrait that went home for mom and dad’s wall. We love it!

Yesterday we photographed a bridal session for one of our current brides, Jana, out at Historic Cedarwood. It was a perfect day, she looked absolutely stunning, and we had so much fun. She’s one of those people that is completely laid back and such a fun person to be around, so of course we had a blast. With Jana, anything goes, even if it means crawling up into the back of an old truck in her dress just to get a cool shot. What a great afternoon! And since we obviously can’t post any of the images from yesterday and ruin the surprise for her fiancé, Brandon, we figured we could at least post some of their engagement photographs. They are such a beautiful couple and we are so excited for their upcoming wedding in October. We’ll be counting down the days with them until their big day!

Most people know that we photograph a lot of babies, families, children, seniors and weddings. One of the services that is less know that we provide is restoration work to old or damaged photographs as well as professional copy work. We have several artists whom we photograph for whenever they finish a painting either for publications that their work is going to be in, to make additional copies, or to serve as a back up for their finished artwork. Recently my super talented mother-in-law did this portrait of her granddaughter in pastels and wanted to have a copy made of it. So we got to photograph her stunning portrait. I love it so much that I had to show off her work. I can’t wait until Brayden is older and gets to have his done!

We have been very busy photographing our seniors. Our One Day Sale just knocked it out of the park! We would like you to meet a few of our new 2010 Senior Models:

I came across these images today and couldn’t help but post them! This is sweet little Brooklyn who we got to photograph back in October only weeks after she had been born. We went out to her house and spent some time in the morning photographing her in her natural environment, using her blankets, furniture, and a lot of natural light. She and mommy, Melissa, did great and we fell in love with the images from our time with them. They are precious!

How fun is this family?! We had an absolute blast with them! I love the sessions where you spend half of the time laughing. They were entertaining to say the least, especially dad. We’ll happily photograph them any day of the week. Can’t wait until the next time!

Look who’s already one! I can hardly believe it!! It seems like only yesterday we were doing his three month Watch Me Grow session. Time has flown by. We have had such a blast with Avery this past year. He’s one of those kids that’s always happy, easy to photograph, and very busy!
