Lilly, 4 years old

Posted in Children, General tagged at 10:00 am by uphoto

Lilly’s family is one that is dear to us! We have been doing portraits for them for years. They have four beautiful children and when each of them turns four we get to do a formal portrait session of them, which is then done as a 20×24 wall portrait in our vintage oil finish. The portraits end up being a one of a kind hand painted piece of art for them to keep for generations. We had already done portraits for Nick and Taylor in the past, so this time we got to work with Lilly. She is a fireball, one fun kid! I bet she keeps mom and dad on their toes! She had recently got back from a trip to Disneyworld so we got to hear all about that and the fun things she got to do there. We were able to do so many neat things during her session. While this portrait isn’t the one we did for the wall, it’s one of our favorites. I think it captures her fun personality. I know it’s still a few years off, but we’re already excited for when little Ryan gets to come in for his turn! We’re so thankful to get to be a part of this awesome family!

Patrick & Isabella

Patrick and Isabella are quite possibly two of the most beautiful children on the planet! Who couldn’t love that gorgeous hair with the brown curls?! We had a lot of fun with these guys and were able to get some beautiful images for mom and dad who picked out several to do as wall portraits in their dining room. Our favorite is a vintage oil hand painted image of the two sitting on the ground looking at a flower. They did that one as the largest for their main wall in the dining room and it simply takes your breath away! It has such an antique and timeless quality to it. It feels as though it could have come from the 18th century with how the children were dressed and interacted with each other. Beautiful! These are a few others that were some of our favorites as well!

Brady, Watch Me Grow 9 months

Posted in Children, General at 10:00 am by uphoto

Sweet little Brady is the newest addition to the family! We got to photograph big brother Parker quite frequently during his first year of life for a Watch Me Grow panel and now we are getting to do the same with Brady. Brady is one happy little guy and we have loved every session we’ve been able to do with him. He’s always full of smiles and makes our job easy! Here are two images we have enjoyed, one from his seven month session and one from his most recent nine month session. A big thank you, Chastity and Bo, for letting us photograph your two little men!

I was so excited when Jessica, Matthew and Elias decided to have their Newborn session with us. Jessica and Matthew are just an incredible couple. Add in their new son Elias and you have the perfect little family. It was so cute to see Matthew staring at Jessica as we were photographing her and Elias. Several times he said  “she looks like a supermodel”. Boy was he right. Elias I know we are going to see you soon, little man! Here is a sneak peek of their session.

Angel Isabella

Sweet Isabella! We have been blessed to see Isabella frequently during her first year of life as we’ve photographed her every 3 months for her Watch Me Grow panel and have captured her several other times as well for various sessions. Earlier in the year Isabella’s wonderful mommy, Tonia, definitely scored points when she surprised daddy with some beautiful photographs of the two of them during a mommy and me session. Out of all the times we’ve photographed Isabella this was by far the most incredible. She was so full of joy and blew us away by how much fun she was having. We got too many good images from this session! The most impressive was when we pulled out some cute hats to photograph her in. Typically a child will tolerate a couple of different ones and then be done with the hat thing. But we did over 12 different hats with her! And with each one we put on her she was smiling and laughing as though she was having the time of her life. It was unbelievable. I wish we could have had a video camera in the studio to have captured it as I’m sure it will be a long time before that ever happens again. Tonia, thank you so much for bringing Isabella in throughout this past year, it has been so much fun getting to know you and watching your sweet girl grow up. We’ll be excited to keep watching her grow and with as fast as this past year has gone I have a feeling we’ll be doing her Senior portraits before we know it!
